n experiment to build connections, networks and to worship the haptic experience of art. In this exhibition concept we reacted to a frustration of events being forever postponed and the alienation accelerating from only perceiving art through virtual formats and 3d-showrooms.
We asked 6 artists, who all originally should have contributed to a bigger group exhibition in Hamburg, to scale down and make multiple small works that would fit in a box scale 7x13x16 cm.
50 miniature works from each artist was produced and curated into 50 small packages. These mini-exhibitions were all shipped out in the world as shapeshifting talismans, igniters and mutators. Not only did we want to gift out small exhibitions that one could physical encounter, but the main goal was to make the receivers part of a network. Using the challenging platform of zoom we invited all the recipients for a collective "walk-through" and activation of each object. Lead by artist an researcher Holly Hunter we did a ritualistic activation, connecting all the little pieces by the mythological story of Arachne. We as her we wanted to weave new images of the world, and those calling it their home.
